Do you know someone, perhaps even a Christian, who seems impossible to get along with? From the people in the pews to the members of our families, we are surrounded by people who hurt other people. And they do so, the author tells us, because of the seemingly inescapable pain in their own lives. In this book, Dr. Wilson brings her years as a professional counselor to bear on a difficult topic that affects many of us. Let her warmth and insight lead you toward a heart of compassion and a ministry of healing for those who hurt others.

"Dr. Sandy Wilson knows why people hurt, where they hurt, and how to heal those hurts. She gets right to the heart of these matters in her very insightful and provocative book. It is a must read for anyone who wants to break free from the bondage of unhealed personal hurts." -Dr. Chris Thurman, author of The Lies We Believe
"Hurt people hurt people" is more than a clever phrase. Hurt people hurt others because they themselves have been hurt. And each one of us has been hurt to one degree or another. As that damage causes us to become defensive and self-protective, we may lash out at others. Hurting becomes a vicious cycle.
But God can help break that cycle. He offers His healing and hope.
•Hope that we will see more clearly how our wounding experiences fit God's design for our lives.•Hope that our scars will one day sing the praises of our living and loving Savior, even as we embrace the reality of choice, change, and transformation.
•Hope that sees in the splinter fragments of broken lives the reflection and triumph of Jesus' empty tomb.
Jesus Christ is the only all-sufficient healer for hurt people. And He graciously uses human instruments in His healing work. It is the prayer of the author that our loving Lord will use this book as part of your healing process.
