A riveting story of unimaginable heartbreak and courage. It leaves you in awe of this mother's vast ability to love and to heal. It cannot help but change your view of what is possible.
Ellen Simon screenwriter One Fine Day and Moonlight and Valentino
On December 23, 2007, a small private plane carrying wealthy hedge fund manager Michael Klein, his 13-year-old daughter, Talia, and her friend disappeared in the jungles of Panama, making international headlines.
For three days the world waited with Talia’s mother, Kim Klein, for news of the plane and the fate of its passengers. When the plane was discovered, having crashed into the side of a volcano, both Kim’s ex-husband and their beautiful daughter were dead.
The news of Talia’s death shattered Kim’s life, ripping her to the core and challenging her entire belief system. Talia was gone—and Kim did not believe in life after death. Until, that is, Talia reached out from “the other side” and touched her, physically, letting her know she was all right.
In the coming days, Talia began communicating with her mother, revealing a life more beautiful, fulfilling and complete than anything we know on earth. She also let her mother know unequivocally that, not only is there “life after death,” but there is no death!
Talia’s words from the spirit world, spoken to Kim and others, continue to transform the most devastating and life-shattering event a parent could ever experience into a life of deep peace and love. Hummingbirds Don’t Fly in the Rain is an exquisite tribute to a magical 13-year-old who continues to astound people with her wit and wisdom from “heaven.” Author Kim Klein hopes that Talia’s story will bring peace and healing to anyone who has ever lost a loved one.
