About the Author
Dr. Syed Zulkarnain Syed Idrus holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Applications with a specialization in Computer Security from Université de Caen Basse-Normandie (UniCAEN), France, awarded in 2015. He is currently an Associate Professor at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia, where he also serves as the Postgraduate Programme Chairperson (Research Mode) in the Communication Department, Faculty of Business & Communication. Dr. Syed Zulkarnain has made significant contributions to the fields of biometrics, keystroke dynamics, pattern recognition, and cybersecurity. His academic achievements include over 33 international refereed journal articles, 185 conference papers, and 5 books/book chapters. He has supervised 19 Ph.D. and 20 Master's students and has been actively involved in numerous international collaborations and research grants. Dr. Syed Zulkarnain has also received multiple awards for research excellence and innovation, including the UniMAP Research Excellence Award and international accolades for his contributions to biometrics and cybersecurity. His work has been widely cited, with an h-index of 19 on Scopus and 22 on Google Scholar, reflecting his impact in the academic community.
Dr. Wan Nor Ashiqin Binti Wan Ali holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Instructional Multimedia from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), awarded in 2023. She is currently a Senior Lecturer (DS52) at the Faculty of Business and Communication, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). Her areas of specialization include Information Technology, Instructional Multimedia, Computational Thinking, and Educational Technology. Dr. Wan Nor Ashiqin has made significant contributions to academia through her research and publications. She has authored numerous journal articles indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and MyCite, focusing on topics such as multimedia learning, computational thinking, and digital video courseware. In addition to her research, Dr. Wan Nor Ashiqin has been actively involved in academic leadership and professional activities. Professor Dr. Wan Ahmad Jaafar Bin Wan Yahaya holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Instructional Multimedia from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, awarded in 2001. He is currently the Director of the Centre for Instructional Technology and Multimedia at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). His areas of specialization include Instructional Multimedia, ICT in Education, and Persuasive Technology. Professor Dr. Wan Ahmad Jaafar has made significant contributions to academia and research, particularly in the fields of multimedia learning, persuasive technology, and educational innovation. Over his career, he has authored numerous journal articles indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and other reputable databases, as well as several books and book chapters. His research has focused on the development of innovative multimedia applications, including persuasive multimedia for education, virtual reality courseware, and game-based learning interventions. He has also been actively involved in the design and evaluation of digital tools to enhance teaching and learning, particularly in the context of higher education and school settings. In addition to his research, Professor Dr. Wan Ahmad Jaafar has held various academic leadership roles, including serving as the President of the Malaysian Educational Technology Association (META) from 2020 to 2022. He has also been a keynote speaker at numerous international conferences, sharing his expertise on topics such as metaverse-based learning, online education, and digital competencies for educators. Professor Dr. Wan Ahmad Jaafar has supervised numerous postgraduate students, including PhD and Master's candidates, and has contributed to the development of academic programs and curricula in instructional technology. His dedication to advancing educational technology and multimedia learning continues to inspire students, educators, and researchers worldwide.
Christophe Rosenberger obtained his PhD in Information Technology from the University of Rennes 1 in 1999. His PhD thesis work was undertaken at ENSSAT in Lannion between 1996 and 1999 in the field of hyperspectral image segmentation. He joined the ENSI de Bourges school of engineering in Bourges (known now as INSA Centre Val de Loire) as associate professor in 2000. In 2007, he joined the ENSICAEN school of engineering in Caen as full professor. He is actually director of the GREYC research lab composed of 180 members. He belongs to the SAFE (Security, Architecture, Forensics, biomEtrics) research group in the GREYC research lab. His current work focuses in the domain of cybersecurity, in particular research activities in biometrics (keystroke dynamics, soft biometrics, evaluation of biometric systems, fingerprint quality assessment...) and digital forensics. He has authored or co-authored over 200 publications among 16 book chapters, 47 international journals and 5 patents (5 WO, 5 EP, 5 FR, 2 US, 1 PT).

Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to AHA-BUCH GmbH, Einbeck, Germany, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
