4 volume set. Volume 1 The societal framework. Volume 2 Resources and technology. Volume 3 Tools for policy analysis. Volume 4 What have we learned. Human Choice and Climate Change assesses social science research relevant to global climate change from a wide range of disciplinary and interdisciplinary work. The four-volume assessment is intended to complement the work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Taking human choice within social institutions as the starting point, noted researchers examine climate change issues such as population and consumption; cultural, institutional, and economic arrangements for human well-being; and the social processes of decision-making.
