Octavo. [xiv], 366 pp. Bound in original olive-green cloth with gilt-stamped spine. Limited "Second Edition," numbered #1665 of 2000 copies. Spine ends frayed. Corners worn. Visible shelfwear and light staining to boards. Internal pages toned with occasional minor foxing to prelims. Binding remains firm. An early English edition of Nietzsche's work, representing his definitive transition toward the "Free Spirit" phase of his philosophy. This volume was a cornerstone of the Oscar Levy "Complete Works" project. K2. .
