About the Author
Roger K. Newman is Research Scholar at New York University School of Law. Born in Brooklyn, he was educated at Hunter College, the University of Virginia, New York University, and Cardozo Law School. He is co-author of Banned Films, a history of movie censorship, which was nominated for several awards. He has written for both popular and professional publications, taught constitutional law at NYU, and was the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship. He lives in Riverdale, New York, with his wife, Ricki, and their two children.
