Daniel Mercer knows the house wasn't there yesterday.
He takes the same bus every morning. Passes the same streets. Sees the same buildings.
And he would have remembered that house.
But there it is.
Old. Victorian. Impossible to miss.
Everyone else acts as though it has always been there.
Daniel tries to let it go. He has a job, a girlfriend, and an ordinary life that doesn't leave much room for impossible houses. But once he starts looking, other things begin to feel wrong. A stranger who seems out of place. A sound no one else reacts to. Small inconsistencies that are easy to dismiss on their own.
Then the house disappears.
Daniel isn't imagining things.
Something is wrong with his world.
And whatever is happening, the house is only the beginning.
The House That Never Was is the first book in The Worlds Between, a mystery-driven speculative fiction series about impossible places, overlapping realities, and the things waiting in the spaces between.
