Synopsis:

"Here's a version of a classic that grown-ups will want to share with young children; it's an 'Oh I remember that one' winner. The bold folk-style acrylic illustrations with their whimsical details perfectly match the situations in the [text].... And, of course, children will relish repeating the rhymes as they gather pace in this rollicking, bounce-on-the-knee classic" -- Booklist

This classic children's rhyme gathers pace and complexity as it tumbles across the pages. Children will delight in repeating the rhymes and following antics of animals and characters of every size and shape.

About the Author:

Diana Mayo has a BA in Graphic Design and Illustration from Kingston University, in southeast England. Since graduating in 1990 she has worked as a freelance illustrator for many clients, including Kingfisher, Oxford University Press and Scholastic. Diana often holds an "open-studio" to give advice to new illustrators and runs rouses on children's book illustration. She draws her inspiration from folk tales, myths and "trivia" from around the world, and revels in strong color and lively detail.
