Second UK printing hardcover in medium green paper covered boards with bright white titles. First ever was published by Macmillan USA in 1956. First UK was published in 1958, this is the second UK printing of one year later, 1959. Book is slightly cocked and boards somewhat sprung but it is not noticeable unless the jacket is off and it is put flat on a table. There is no evidence of moisture anywhere and no musty smells. It is not a former library copy, there are no names, tears or soil in the tight, bright, crisp 107 pp text. Unclipped professionally reproduced dj from the Macmillan US edition shows light color loss and a 1/4" x 1" chip at each spine end, now in new mylar and displays beautifully with a stunning pencil drawing of a man sailing his horse "Hurricane" over a brush jump, training for the hunt races. A young thoroughbred colt runs away from a burning barn and lives as a wild horse on the plains until, by several strokes of good fortune, a young man is gifted with him to retrain and turn him into a champion steeplechase racer.
