Explains the advantages and disadvantages of homeschooling, and provides advice on setting up a curriculum, getting the child involved with the community, and dealing with the special learning needs of some children
From the Author:
Introducing parents to the benefits of homeschooling.
The purpose of my book is to introduce newcomers to the wonderful world of homeschooling with its potential benefits to children and families. My hope is to save as many families and children as possible from the academic, spiritual, moral, and physical risks of public schooling. Homeschooled children are far happier than public schoolers because they know that their parents care enough to devote the time and effort needed to homeschool. Happy families will create a better society for all of us. As homeschoolers, parents get a chance to learn more than they ever got in school. Thus, learning becomes a family way of life.
