From the Author
You may have noticed that I have three other books on Amazon.com (Creative Cash, Handmade for Profit, and The Crafts Business Answer Book), but Homemade Money is my most comprehensive small business book. Unlike the other three books mentioned here--which are for people in art- or craft-related businesses--Homemade Money offers something for everyone who dreams of a business of their own at home (regardless of type).
It's for dreamers with ideas and talent who need help and encouragement to get started; for people without jobs who must find a way to earn money right now; for corporate dropouts who seek greater satisfaction and financial security through self employment; for "sideliners" who need know-how and guidance to grow their part-time businesses; for established homebased entrepreneurs eager to increase sales and profits through better management, marketing and diversification, and for all other self-employed professionals in search of innovative, low-cost marketing ideas.
I was able to include in this book a lot of information you won't find in other home-business guides because I published a home-business newsletter for 15 years and was always "picking people's brains" to learn how they did this or that. I've also been a speaker and seminar leader at dozens of home-business conferences, where I've often learned as much from my workshop participants as they learned from me.
