The Home Model is the love story-and life story-of Jennifer and Bryan Martin. It began when they were a young couple dreaming about the kind of home they wanted for their future children. Long before the babies arrived, the vision was already alive in their hearts. They were thrilled to become Mom and Dad. Love swept them into a joy that felt as natural and powerful as the sun, the moon, and the stars. Life felt like a beautiful fable... until reality set in. As Bryan pursued his career to provide for the family, something unexpected happened. The pressure of modern culture-its rules, values, identities, and expectations-slowly began to take over his thinking. Being successful in the world started to feel more important than being present at home. The center of gravity shifted-and everything unraveled. What followed was a painful fall... and an even more powerful rise. Climbing out of that dark season, Jennifer and Bryan rediscovered what they now call natural love-and learned how to use the forces of social reality for good instead of letting them control their lives. Each of them experienced deep, love-based personal growth. That growth transformed their marriage. It changed their home. And their children watched it all happen-eventually becoming loving, grounded parents themselves. Their story frames the book in the Prologue and Epilogue. The heart of The Home Model is five life-changing lessons that rebuilt their family from the inside out. Their greatest desire is simple: to share the riches of love-based personal growth with the world-starting in the home.
