Paperback. "When the world falls out from under you, sometimes you just want to go home." In the wake of tragedy, Ruthanne Schneider and her mother-in-law, Naomi, pack up their lives in Southern Maryland and move cross country to the small town of Meridian, South Dakota where Naomi grew up. Their arrival causes quite a stir. Some are excited by Naomi's homecoming, like her barrel racing cousin, Emily, and her old friend Mason who has carried a torch for her all these years. But Noami's former mother-in-law, Lavinia is not pleased by the arrival of the newcomers. She blames Naomi for death of her son and grandsons. Ruthanne tries to navigate small town life, gets a job at the local diner, and learns to horseback ride. But she keeps running into brawny cattle farmer, Ben Schneider at every turn. He is considerably older than she is, but sparks fly between them, and she cannot deny her growing attraction. Then, just when her heart is healing and she is beginning to believe God has a plan for their lives, Ruthanne gets a package revealing a poisoned secret from the past, and her blossoming faith is put to the test. Home to Meridian is an uplifting second-chance romance featuring family love, romantic love, and the love for animals, like a timely puppy, a rescue horse, and even a one-eyed cat. It is a story of faith, love, homecomings, reconciliation, and courage. This item is printed on demand.
