VERY GOOD CONDITION - NO DATE - INTERNATIONAL BIBLE PRESS - SELF PRONOUNCING WITH IDEA HELPS - WITH OUR LISTINGS YOU GET WHAT YOU SEE - NO GUESS WORK - OUR GOAL IS TO FIND GREAT HOMES FOR GREAT BOOKS MORE INFORMATION & HISTORY: This is an 'International' Bible Series Self-Pronouncing Edition published by The John C. Winston Company, a prominent American publisher of religious texts from the late 19th through mid-20th century. The Winston Company was known for producing affordable, illustrated family Bibles with study aids, making scripture accessible to a broad audience. The edition includes both Old and New Testaments in the Authorized (King James) Version, along with questions and answers on the scriptures and illustrations to aid comprehension. Such Bibles were commonly given as gifts for weddings, confirmations, and other religious milestones, and were central to family devotional life in American households during the early to mid-20th century. Vintage illustrated Bibles from this era appeal to collectors of religious texts, book historians, and those interested in American printing history. They are valued for their historical significance as cultural artifacts that reflect the religious practices and publishing standards of their time. Family Bibles with inscriptions or provenance often carry additional sentimental and genealogical value for descendants tracing family history. This appears to be a mid-20th century King James Version Bible with visual helps, a popular format that included maps, illustrations, and reference materials to aid Bible study. Such editions were commonly produced by various American publishers during the 1940s-1960s and were often given as gifts for religious milestones like confirmations, weddings, or graduations. The leather binding and gold lettering were standard features that signified the book's importance and were designed to last for generations. Vintage Bibles with visual helps appeal to collectors of religious texts, antiquarian book enthusiasts, and those interested in mid-century American religious culture. These items hold sentimental value for families preserving heirlooms and are sought after by collectors who appreciate the craftsmanship of leather bookbinding and the historical significance of religious publications. The combination of practical use as a reference tool and decorative appeal makes these Bibles desirable to a broad audience interested in both spirituality and Americana.…
