This huge edition contains many extras including An Introductory History of The Manuscript and Early Printed Editions of the Holy Bible; Revelation, Inspiration and Authenticity of the Holy Scriptures by Farrar; History of the Nations Mentioned in the Scriptures; The Period from the Close of the Sacred Canon of the Old Testament until the Times of the New Testament; Comprehensive Dictionary of the Bible by William Smith (from page 1 to page 103); The Books of the Bible Biographical and Historical; History of Herod, King of the Jews; Maps; The Apocrypha; A Chronological Index to the Holy Bible; Tables of Scripture Measures, Weights and Coins; Concordance to the Old and New Testaments; and The Psalms of David in Metre. In 1881 the first official revision of the Kings James Version was finished for the New Testament. This copy has the traditional King James Version, not the new revised one. oAt the end of the Apocrypha there are three leaves which have been removed. By comparison with other copies of this Bible we know that those leaves are the family records of marriages, births, deaths, etc. The covers look like tooled leather but they are actually cloth. Page edges gilt. Binding is fairly tight. Heavy wear at extremities. Full refund if not satisfied. Seller Inventory # 075904
