A good copy of this edition of the King James Bible, licensed for printing to James Mossman of Edinburgh, Undated but gift inscription for 1890. No Dust Jacket. Cover: full dark brown leather with gilt lettering to front; leather cover extends beyond edges of boards, some rubbing to folds and edges but otherwise in good condition for its age. Internally: clean and tightly bound, some cracking of hinges but holding well; no foxing; gift inscription to front fly leaf, dated 1890; all edges gilt; some age yellowing to pages; overall in good condition for its age. Psalms of David printed separately at rear and separately numbered. 214 pp plus 76 pp. psalms plus 24 pp. other material. Seller Inventory # 003304

Soft cover. Condition: Good. Undated. Full, lined thin leather with wrap around edges and five raised bands on spine. The leather is moderately scuffed to the front face, the spine head has torn off and the tail split, the back bottom corner has a small hole and is coming away from the lining, there is some curling to the edges. Inscription to title page. The leaves are tight and in good condition. The pages are clean, with the occasional light stain. The text block edges are red and gilt lined and show slight staining. The book has an additional Psalms in metre at the back, plus translations and paraphrases in verse, plus 13 colour maps and a plan of the Temple rebuilt by Herod, plus an indexed atlas to the Bible.
