Bookplate, tasteful, affixed to the front fixed endpaper in each but Volume V. Volume VI is two parts (labelled Volume VI, Part I and Volume VII, Part II). No index. The conditions of the covers vary. Each internally clean and bright. That said, all are very good to near fine copies. Jackets available for six of the seven volumes. Volume I; from Early Times to Fall of Ancient Empires. Volume II: the Mediterranean Civilizations and the Middle Ages c. 700 B.C. To c. A.D. 1500.
