Original Buff cloth cover with black lettering to front, spine & Rear. Frontis Engraving is from Davidis Equestrian Painting of Napoleon crossing the Alps. Of the 7 Engravings, 6 are present one is missing. 6 1/4" Tall. Previous owner's inscription, dated 1845, on free endpaper. Also interesting note by the same writer regarding the surrender of Vienna to the French, on the rear endpaper. Volume One only of a 2 Volume work. Some age darkening to cover and a closed tear, 3" long, down side of spine. Pages and Plates in very good condition. Size: 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 006044
