Seven volume set. Quartos. 2028pp. Illustrated with photogravures by William H. Gilbo and color reproductions by G.H. Buek & Co. Blue cloth with gold stamped Masonic emblems and lettering. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Owner gift inscription on front flyleaves with foxing on endpapers of volume three, faint spotting on boards, lightly toned spines with tiny tears at the foot of volumes four and six, several unopened pages, overall very good. An exhaustive work and a cornerstone of Masonic research that traces the origins of Freemasonry across Europe and America, the history of its symbols and the history of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Printing and binding by Trow Co.
