Brown cloth with spine titles in gilt, blind-stamped borders, yellow end-papers, 4 illustrated plates in each volume by George Cruikshank, 4 page series prospectus at front of Vol.I, last 2 pages of Vol.II (343-344) include reviews of the Novelist's Library. Tips bumped, hinges reinforced, front hinge splitting in vol.I, moderate wear, interior vg, in fine leather slip case with gilt lettering and spine in 6 compartments. Bookseller accession no.: 10423.
