1988. Reprint. [ix], 411pp., frontispiece and 3 other black and white illustrations. Michael Morris Oppenheim (1853-1927) was the pioneer historian of English naval administration. In 1874, he entered University College Hospital Medical School, and completed his examination as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1879. The book is bound in the original blue boards with gold titling on the spine. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear and light soiling to the boards and the spine is slightly faded with light bumping to the top of the spine. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription.…
