Item description from seller

A historical and descriptive account of the iconic political cartoons of James Gillray, one of the most significant political caricaturists in history. Published by Henry G. Bohn in 1851.In half morocco, half marble boards.Perhaps the most significant political cartoonist in history, Gillray flourished during the latter half of George III's reign, and many of his artworks remain in the National Portrait Gallery. Slight fading to spine label. End papers are bright and clean. Front free end paper is nearly loose. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with slight faint spotting to title leaf extremities. Very Good.…
