126pp., photographs, pictorial card covers, red cloth spine. Good condition overall, but the covers are a bit grubby, including two scuffs to the front. A detailed and illustrated history, which includes information on, and pictures of the company's steamers. Other topics covered are: the formation of the company, the company's steamers, its opponents, personnel and buildings, traffic, finance, and so on. The Isle of Man Steam Packet Comany is the oldest continuously operating passenger shipping company in the world and was founded in 1830. It continues to operate today.
