The Historian s Guide: or, Britains Remembrancer. Being a Summary of all the Actions, Exploits, Sieges, Battels, Designs, Attempts, Preferments, Honours, Changes, &c. and whatever else is worthy Notice, that hath happened in His Majesty s Dominions, from the year 1600, to 1688. Shewing, the year, month, and day of the month, in wch each action was done. The Third Impression, Corrected in all the Mistakes and Faults that did pass the impressions before. London: Printed by W. Horton, for W. Crooke at the Green Dragon without Temple-Bar, 1688. The volume is paginated as follows: [8], 190, [6] p. Plate (portrait) The volume collates as follows: (A)4, B R6, *2 "To the reader" signed "W.C.", i.e. publisher William Crooke. Erroneously attributed to Samuel Clarke, whose "England s remembrancer" is an entirely different work. ESTC R24227 Wing H2094C. Bound in contemporary blind ruled calf, re-backed, preserving much of the old spine. The spine in five compartments with blind stamped decorations, and four raised bands. A red lettering piece in the second compartment from the top. Boards scuffed. Corners renewed. Binding in near fine restored condition. Printed on cheaper paper the leaves are still generally clean but with some general faint foxing throughout. Page 1 with printing error with unprinted text. Preserving the original endpapers. The volume measures 15.8 x 10 x .7 cm. Each leaf measures 155 x 90 mm. Seller Inventory # ABE-1623337326851
