Print on Demand. This book explores the rich history of the ancient city of Autun, France, presenting a comprehensive and in-depth look at its glorious past. It draws upon the writings of the author, Edme Thomas, a 17th-century historian and scholar who meticulously collected and analyzed evidence to uncover the secrets of Autun's heritage. Through the author's careful examination of monuments, inscriptions, and historical records, this book sheds light on the city's origins, its role within the Roman Empire, and its enduring legacy. The author's insights extend beyond the mere cataloging of facts; he explores the symbolic meanings embedded in Autun's architecture and urban design, revealing the profound spiritual and philosophical beliefs of its ancient inhabitants. This book not only provides a valuable historical account but also invites readers to contemplate the deeper significance of the human experience as reflected in the remnants of this remarkable city. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
