About the Author: David Pendery, who lives in Taipei, Taiwan, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and lived in New Mexico, San Francisco and Boston as an adult. He received his B.A. in International Relations from San Francisco State University, his M.S. in Journalism from Boston University and his Ph.D. in English Literature from National Chengchi University in Taipei.
