The physician’s ultimate guide for buying a home
A house is a significant purchase for anyone, but especially unique for a physician. Due to the unusual financial position physicians face—enormous school debt tempered with a growing salary—their home-buying process is not always straightforward. Whether a first-time home buyer or a seasoned professional looking for an investment, Hippocratic House considers both the physician’s position and the real estate industry.Be prepared with the right questions, find the right professionals to work with, and make confident decisions using the included checklists and worksheets. Hippocratic House guides any physician through the real estate process, and teaches how to avoid common mistakes and pitfalls from a physician’s point of view.
Determine whether purchasing is the best decision for you at this time:
- Calculate how much you can afford to spend
- Take all necessary expenses into account
- Find the right kind of mortgage for your situation
- Hire the right Realtor
- Choose the right house
- Avoid common mistakes that cost you time, money, and stress
“Doug was the expert our situation desperately called for when we bought our house. We found ourselves in a difficult and time-sensitive situation, and he was able to call on his years of experience and capable team to get our mortgage approved and closed very quickly.” —Erik and Savannah Foisey
“Doug Crouse was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive to our priorities when helping us refinance our home. His more than 20 years of experience saved us a significant amount of money, which we were able to apply to my student loans. We plan to follow his recommendations for all our home needs going forward!” —Dr. Dana Vietti
