SINOPSIS Enero del 2015. Iv�n Orellana, un detective privado que ejerce su profesi�n desde el distrito de Gracia de Barcelona, recibe una ma�ana la peculiar visita de dos ancianos antit�ticos que le contratan para que encuentre a sus respectivos hijos, Jos� Oriol Vall�s y Roc�o Carmona, desaparecidos junto a Bosco Rosell un estival fin de semana de 1992.La primera pista conduce al detective a un peque�o pueblo del Pirineo donde descubre que el tercer personaje, Bosco Rosell, fue asesinado pocos d�as atr�s de dos certeros disparos cuando trabajaba en un coto de caza como vigilante. Al registrar la siniestra vivienda de Rosell, el detective encuentra en el interior de un libro un grupo de fotograf�as que, seg�n la frase escrita en la parte posterior de una de ellas, bien podr�an ser de la noche de las desapariciones. En las im�genes aparecen dos personajes m�s, todos en un ambiente aparentemente festivo.Tras preguntar a sus ancianos clientes por los dos nuevos aparecidos en las fotograf�as, estos deciden inesperadamente apartar a Orellana del caso.Pero las pesquisas del detective han inquietado a un viejo sargento de la polic�a de retorcidos m�todos, a un pol�tico nacionalista con antecedentes por agresiones xen�fobas en el pasado y a un padre cuya hija desapareci� por aquellas fechas. Adem�s, pocos d�as despu�s de la visita de los ancianos, la ex mujer de Orellana, Lali Pom�s, es chantajeada por su protagonismo en diversas filmaciones pornogr�ficas registradas con una c�mara oculta.Despu�s de un largo periodo cuyo �nico trabajo era pr�cticamente dedicado a las infidelidades conyugales, a buscar adolescentes descarriados o a desenmascarar las trampas que algunos usuarios emplean para cobrar de las compa��as de seguros, Iv�n Orellana se ve inmerso en una trama que le pone de nuevo en contacto con personajes de su conflictivo pasado, y cuya finalidad para esclarecer el caso parece pasar por encontrar a Roc�o Carmona, la hija del gitano.
