Item description from seller

2015 revised edition in very good clean condition. Bon Scott was born in Scotland and moved to Australia as a child. He was rebellious from a young age, getting into trouble and spending time in juvenile detention. But he also had a strong musical streak, starting out as a drummer and later becoming a singer in several bands before joining AC/DC in the mid-1970s. The book shows how Bon’s charm, wit, and raw energy helped shape AC/DC’s early sound and image. He wasn’t just a singer—he was a performer who lived hard and fast, pouring his life into the music. Walker doesn’t shy away from the darker parts of Bon’s story. The book covers his heavy drinking, the toll of constant touring, and the emotional weight he carried behind the scenes. Bon’s lyrics often reflected his lifestyle—funny, cheeky, and full of bravado—but there was also a sense of vulnerability. “Highway to Hell,” the song and the album, became a symbol of living on the edge, and it marked the peak of Bon’s career. Sadly, just months after its release in 1979, Bon died in London in early 1980 from alcohol poisoning.
