Review:
The premise is simple and brilliantly executed, the author detailed Ford V8 engines from 221cu in small-block to the 460cu in boat anchor that powered cars such as '70s-era Lincoln Continentals and bits they have in common. By combining the best bits from various years, performance gains are a matter of course (in theory). All of which is a boom for budding eBayers, too. Low on gloss but high on useful, practical info. --Octane, October 2010
We use George's book so often that we keep it on our desk, with a short stack of other essential books we use day in and day out to help us put the magazine together each month. So we were extremely pleased to hear that CarTech asked Reid to update this popular book with the latest parts and offerings, new and more in depth research, and updated full-color photos. --Modified Mustangs and Fords, October 2010
