In High on Life, Not on Stuff, Evgenia Stroganova takes readers on a deeply honest, funny, and eye-opening journey into the psychology of overconsumption—and how to break free from it.
Blending personal stories, neuroscience, and real-world examples, this book reveals why we buy what we don’t need, why “just stop shopping” never works, and how modern consumer culture quietly hijacks your brain.
This isn’t about guilt, deprivation, or extreme minimalism.
It’s about living with intention.
In this book, you’ll discover:
- Why emotional spending happens—and what it’s really trying to soothe
- How stress, perfectionism, insecurity, and instant gratification fuel overbuying
- The neuroscience behind shopping addiction and clutter
- How consumerism exploits your emotions (and how to opt out)
- Practical tools to change habits without shame or self-punishment
- A healthier relationship with money, possessions, and yourself
Less stuff. More clarity. A life that feels genuinely rich.
