Book Description Theosophical Publishing House, Adyar, Madras, India, 1919. Hardcover. Book Condition: Very Good. 2nd Edition. This book is in Very Good condition and lacks a dust jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. There is a slight slant to the spine of the book. The spine ends and corners of the book covers, along with the spine joints have "some light bumping, rubbing and beginning fraying. The text pages are clean and bright. The front inner hinge has started to crack. "Charles Webster Leadbeater (16 February 1854 1 March 1934) was an influential member of the Theosophical Society, author on occult subjects and co-initiator with J. I. Wedgwood of the Liberal Catholic Church. Originally a priest of the Church of England, his interest in spiritualism caused him to end his affiliation with Anglicanism in favour of the Theosophical Society, where he became an associate of Annie Besant.
