nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Hidden Saints: A Study of the Brothers of the Common Life is a book written by S. Harvey Gem. It is a comprehensive study of the Brothers of the Common Life, a religious community that emerged in the Netherlands in the 14th century. The book explores the history, beliefs, and practices of this community, which was known for its emphasis on simplicity, humility, and devotion to God. The Brothers of the Common Life were influential in the development of the Devotio Moderna movement, which sought to reform the Catholic Church from within. The book examines the lives of the most prominent members of the community, including Thomas ¿¿¿¿¿¿ Kempis, author of The Imitation of Christ. It also explores the impact of the Brothers of the Common Life on the wider Christian world, including their influence on the Protestant Reformation. Hidden Saints is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of Christianity, religious communities, and the Devotio Moderna movement. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.…
