This VG book was published by New York Books in 1913. It is square, rather clean, with both lower corners very lightly bumped with no fraying or other fabric damage. Head and heel of the spine are also bumped, also with no fraying. The front panel applique is clean with slight damage to one of the figures. Except for a purple ink stamp ("WB ???")(see photo), the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and paper damage of any type. The paper--including the end papers--is moderately toned and a bit stiff but still somewhat flexible and not at all brittle. The hinges are tight, strong and completely undamaged. The story is 144 pages, followed by a section entitled "The Fishes of the United States". The entire book is 188 pages. The book lists through title #6, the entire 6-book breeder set.
