Safe Splash Spectacular is a pool safety picture book for toddlers and preschoolers ages 3-5. It helps young children learn one simple habit before they are near a pool, gate, or water area:
Stop. Count to 3. Wait for an adult.
Created for families with young children, this bright read-aloud story gives parents, grandparents, and caregivers an easy way to start an important water safety conversation before the moment matters.
Helpful Before:- Backyard pool days
- Family vacations
- Hotel pool visits
- Beach trips
- Vacation rental stays
- Visits with grandparents
- Swim lessons
- Preschool or daycare safety discussions
Pool safety can be hard to explain to young children. This book keeps the message simple, positive, and easy to repeat. Instead of overwhelming kids with too many rules, it focuses on one memorable phrase families can practice together.
Stop. Count to 3. Wait for an adult.
The story is designed to help children recognize that they should pause, wait, and get an adult before going near water. It is not scary or fear-based. It gives families a calm way to practice an important safety message during story time.
Great For:- Parents of toddlers and preschoolers
- Grandparents with pools
- Swim school families
- Preschool teachers
- Daycare centers
- Pediatric waiting rooms
- Summer safety gift baskets

Is this a good book before swim lessons?
Yes. Families can read it before swim lessons, pool days, vacations, hotel stays, or visits to homes with pools.
Does this book teach children how to swim?

Is the book scary?
No. The story introduces pool safety in a positive, age-appropriate way without frightening young children.
Winner of the 2025 International Book Awards Gold Medal, Safe Splash Spectacular was created to help families talk about water safety in a way young children can remember.
This book does not replace active adult supervision, swim lessons, locked gates, pool fencing, life jackets where appropriate, or professional water safety guidance.
