Item description from seller

One page, 12mo, minor defects but clear and complete. Text: "I addressed the secretary of the Young Mens Christian association some time ago - naming Monday and Tuesday 29th 30th Oct. for the two lectures spoken of when last with you - These are the only dates at liberty until now, expecting an answer- Will you kindly see that I have an 'aye' or 'no' - as I wish toappoint these dates elsewhere if they will not suit -[subscription]". Note: "Henry Vincent (10 May 1813 29 December 1878) was an English religious leader active in the formation of early Working Men's Associations in Britain, a popular Chartist leader, brilliant and gifted public orator, prospective but ultimately unsuccessful Victorian member of parliament, and later an anti-slavery campaigner."
