Print on Demand. This book is an inspiring collection of popular Christian evangelist hymns. These hymns were familiar twentieth-century favorites sung at religious gatherings, camp meetings, and revivals. They are categorized with an index. The author's goal was to provide a resource of music in support of the evangelistic outreach of the Salvation Army. The hymns are presented with complete lyrics and simple piano arrangements. There are also short commentaries on each song that provide historical and theological context to the content of the lyrics. The hymns in this book can be used for personal and communal worship, they can be appreciated as representative of the type of hymns that were sung within early twentieth-century American Protestantism, and they serve as a resource for Salvation Army members to engage with the musical history of their organization. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

When Heavenly Sunlight was first published we had no idea but that it should be a book for the Sunday School and Young People's Society exclusively; but almost as soon as the first copies were placed on the market, requests began to pour in to the publishers to issue a similar book designed especially for special Evangelistic Meetings, Prayer and Praise Services and essentially Devotional Gatherings. It is in response to this de mand that this Evangelistic Edition now appears.
