Heaths Practical French Grammar (1976) ? W.H. Fraser & J. Squair (Harrap, London) Sold by Crappy Old Books ? proudly rescuing dusty knowledge since forever. Need to brush up your French grammar the old-fashioned way ? with no frills, no fluff, and absolutely no apologies? This 1976 edition of Heaths Practical French Grammar is as dry, direct, and determined as a Parisian waiter. Fraser and Squair, those unshakable titans of turn-of-the-century language instruction, offer a no-nonsense deep dive into the structures of French that your school teacher probably loved a bit too much. Expect clear explanations, verb tables that don?t mess around, and a tone that suggests you should be taking this seriously. Perfect for linguistics nerds, nostalgic ex-students, and anyone who wants to master passé composé like it?s 1899. Slightly yellowed, slightly smug, but still immensely useful. Grammar purists and retro Francophiles ? this one?s for you. Well bound image, bur spine and part of cover is faded from exposure to the light. Includes a couple of business cards used as bookmarks.…
