About the Author
Starting with editing exercises on the chalkboard in third grade, Jeff Goodman has long found joy in the magic of the written word. Drawn to children’s literature for its unique ability to impart life lessons, he created Heather and the Magic Weather Feather to promote imagination in our increasingly automated world. This is Jeff’s second children’s book. His debut, Feel Like Eggs?, became a #1 New Release on Amazon in 2021.
As an award-winning journalist and school communications specialist, Jeff has written extensively about education, child development, and social-emotional learning. His work has appeared in numerous print and online media outlets, including the Los Angeles Times. He is currently the communications director at Carlthorp School in Santa Monica.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from UC Berkeley, where he served as sports editor for the student newspaper. He lives with his wife and three children in Los Angeles, his hometown, where 72 degrees and sunshine don’t require imagination.
