Everything they built was leading here.
The orchard is quiet. The nursery is ready. And somewhere in the soft, snow-bright stillness of winter, Crystal and Kyle are waiting for the moment that will change everything — again.
Crystal is in her final days, counting rhythms, reading signs, memorizing the warmth of a life that is almost exactly right. Kyle is beside her the way he always is now — steady, sleepless, a little terrified, completely certain. And Holly, in her penguin hat with her reindeer and her clipboard, has been ready for months.
When the first real wave comes in the dark of night, everything begins in earnest.
The Reckoning and the Resolution is the breathtaking final chapter of Kyle and Crystal's story — moving through the vigil, the birth, the first trembling days at home, and the extraordinary ordinary glow of a family that arrived, at last, exactly as it was supposed to. It is a story about the way love expands, the way music finds its way back when you least expect it, and the way a child, blinking at winter sunlight for the very first time, can make an entire life feel like it was always heading somewhere good.
Tender, funny, and quietly devastating in all the best ways.
The conclusion readers of The Beginning and the Wound and The Struggle and the Turning Point have been waiting for.
Book Three — and the finale — of The Heart's Own Song Series.
