Paperback. A land already devastated by the Swarm, Nuria seems incapable of resisting the coup-de-grace to be delivered by Malik Ulian's irresistible forces. Even to present a host on the field to oppose him, ancient hatreds and prejudice will have to forgotten, sworn enemies reconciled, and the remainder of the scourge dispatched. Haldrid wends her sad way through a torn and desolate land, fleeing towards the burning north in the company of the remnants of her people. Soon enough the beleaguered band is trapped and faces extermination or enslavement at the hands of the hated Searavens. Lund and his bewildered army of children employ cunning and courage in like measure simply to win the right to die as free people on a field of battle. For Gaereth the final moments of his failed dream remain only in his memory, as the darkness of his prison closes in to end his short life. The Nurian exile begs for time and opportunity to atone for his many crimes by saving what he betrayed. Will he be in time? Will this act be of benefit to others besides himself? The epic conclusion of the Palingenesis Trilogy culminates in the Battle of Belruth where all destinies are decided, whether for good or ill. It is the season for ultimate sacrifice, and those who remain to enjoy the spoils of victory may ponder whether the result is worth the price required. This item is printed on demand.
