When Mackenzie, the brave purple adventure motorcycle, rides out to explore the woodland trails of Happy Valley, her friends expect her to return soon. But as the morning passes and Mackenzie still has not come home, Hazel, Charlotte, and Nathan begin to worry.
Nathan, Hazel's fast green motorcycle friend, rides ahead to search for her. Along the road, he finds Lucas, the little turtle Hazel once helped on her very first adventure. Lucas has been trying to find help. Mackenzie stopped to help him near a muddy trail, but now she is stuck deep in the mud and cannot get free.
Nathan rushes Lucas back to Hazel's Garage, and the friends hurry into the woods together. When they find Mackenzie, they know the rescue will take more than speed. Nathan must use his strength to pull. Charlotte must think carefully and build a safer path with sticks and stones. Lucas must watch closely and call out the perfect moment. Mackenzie must be brave and keep trying. And Hazel must help everyone stay calm, listen, and work together.
Hazel and the Race to Rescue is a warm, exciting children's picture book about friendship, teamwork, courage, and kindness. Young readers will follow Hazel and her friends through a gentle rescue adventure where every character has an important part to play.
This story is perfect for children who enjoy friendly motorcycle characters, animal helpers, outdoor adventures, and books with positive lessons. With a comforting message about helping friends in need, Hazel and the Race to Rescue reminds readers that kindness has a way of coming back around-and that no one is ever truly alone when friends are ready to help.
