As a ?food enthusiast? Marion?s career path lead her to the field of Nutrition and Dietetics, having completed her M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetic Internship from Eastern Illinois University and her B.S. in Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As a licensed and registered dietitian, Marion worked in the hospital setting for 10 years. While working at two major university-affiliated hospitals, Marion?s duties ranged from teaching resident physicians, conducting nutritional research studies, and precepting dietetic interns, to working with pediatric, transplant, and I.V. nutrition support for critical care patients.She now works as the Chief Executive Officer of Caring Medical and Rehabilitation Services, in conjunction with her physicianhusband, Ross. Together they have written eight books on natural health including Prolo Your Pain Away! and Prolo Your Sports Injuries Away! Marion is a well-known speaker and writer on a variety of topics related to Natural Medicine and Nutrition.After years of research and work with clients at Caring Medical, Marion and Ross Hauser developed an objective testing procedure called Diet Typing to determine which diet is best for each individual person. As an avid athlete, having completed numerous marathons, Olympic Distance Duathlons, century cycles, and a wide array of other races, Marion put Diet Typing to the test by using it to maximize her race performances, optimize her energy and normalize her weight. Nicole M. Baird is a NESTA Certified Holistic Fitness Practitioner and Certified Personal Trainer. Her path crossed the Hausers in 1999 when she began working at Caring Medical and Rehabilitation Services, SC.and saw the power of Natural Medicine change her life. Being a triathlete and involved in various athletics, Nicole had some injuries and health issues. She utilized many of the techniques, including Prolotherapy, to cure her chronic pain. In 2003, Nicole began an apprenticeship in patient nutrition education with Ross and Marion Hauser.She later headed up the Caring Medical Nutrition Center as the Nutrition and Lifestyle coach. Much of the work involved translating the science of The Hauser Diet to realistic everyday food and activity.Nicole coached clients on ways to incorporate healthy, practical foods into their recommended diets. Through this experience she saw how food alone can have profound effects on people?s overall health. Having a love for food, food shopping, and cooking, she tried almost every one-diet-fits-all approach for herself, from low fat ?diet? foods to vegetarianism to high protein, but only found real solutions in The Hauser Diet.Nicole is currently the manager of Beulah Land Nutritionals, a natural high-quality supplement resource, and the administrative team leader for Caring Medical and Rehabilitation Services. Along with her experience at Caring Medical, her passion for writing and research brought her on the journey of co-authoring The Hauser Diet: A Fresh Look at Healthy Living! Dr. Hauser received his medical degree from the University of Illinois. He went on to do his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Loyola-Hines-Marianjoy. He subsequently joined the practice of Gustav Hemwall, M.D., one of the founders and experts in Prolotherapy.
