A harmonious and notably fresh set of the four Harry Palmer novels, comprising The IPCRESS File, Horse Under Water, Funeral in Berlin and Billion Dollar Brain - largely Fine, in similarly excellent unclipped dustwrappers. The IPCRESS File is a second impression (issued within a month of the first printing), Horse Under Water a 1970s impression, and the final two volumes are first impressions. The IPCRESS File is Fine (previous owner's six word signature/inscription to the rear pastedown) in a Near Fine+ wrapper (a touch of toning to the spine, top-edge and folds). Horse Under Water (sixth impression, 1977) is Fine (a tiny ink mark to the fore-edge of the page block) in a Fine wrapper. Funeral in Berlin (first impression) is Near Fine (a little faint spotting/marking to the edge of the page block) in a Near Fine wrapper (lightly rubbed to the spine tips and corners). Billion Dollar Brain (first impression) is Fine in a Near Fine wrapper - an unusually attractive example of a notoriously fragile foil wrapper. The dustwrappers are presented in removable, archival-quality Brodart protective covers. All orders are sent very carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard.
