About this Item
The nineteenth century was an age of great personalities, a last flowering before twentieth- century anonymity and mass living engulfed them in its drab living. Harriette Wilson lived among this wealthy society, the courtesan's natural background. In England Harriette Wilson was an outstanding example of her profession. The slipcase shows light wear to its surfaces. There is spotting on the front and rear end-papers and boards which we think as occurred in the production process. Seller Inventory # 03115
