About the Authors

Pedro Cardoso holds a PhD in the field of Operational Research from the University of Seville (Spain), a Master in Computational Mathematics from the University of Minho (Portugal) and a Degree in Mathematics - Computer Science from the University of Coimbra (Portugal). He teaches Computer Science and Mathematics at University the Algarve (UAlg) and is member of LARSyS/UAlg. He has high knowledge in the fields of databases, algorithms and data structures, machine learning, data science, and operational research. Over the past few years he edited 2 books with IGI, has been involved in 8 national and international scientific and development projects and is the co-author of more than 60 scientific publications.

Professor J�nio Monteiro graduated in Electrical and Computers Engineering in 1995 from the University of Porto, and later obtained a Master and PhD degrees respectively in 2003 and 2010, also in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior T�cnico, Technical University of Lisbon. Since 2003, he has been a member of INESC-ID in Lisbon, where he participated in several European R&TD projects funded by the Information Society Technologies Programme (IST), of the European Commission, namely: Olympic, My-e-Director and Saracen. As part of the Algarve University, he has also participated in an international project called ENERGEIA and several national projects with regional companies. He is co-author of more than three dozen publications, including journal articles, papers in scientific conferences, several book chapters, deliverables of projects and national patents. His main areas of expertise involve communication networks, smart grids and sensor networks or Internet of Things.

Jorge Semi�o graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior T�cnico - Technical University of Lisbon in 1996, and obtained the Master, in 2001, and the PhD, in 2010, also in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same university, with specialization in Microelectronics and Electronic and Computer Systems. He started working in research in 1995 at INESC, and now he is a senior researcher at INESC-ID in Lisbon. His main research interests are the design and optimization of digital integrated circuits, the design for testability and the test of electronic circuits, the project of fault-tolerant circuits and the aging of electronic circuits. He participated in several research projects (12), and is the author and co-author of more than 90 scientific articles published, four national patents and four patents still under patent pending. Also obtained awards for "Best INESC-ID PhD student in 2010," for "Best Internship in Electrical Engineering" (awarded by the Ordem dos Engenheiros in 2001), and "Best Teacher in the Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering " (EST - University of Algarve, in 1999).

Jo�o Rodrigues graduated in Electrical Engineering in 1993, he got his M.Sc. in Computer Systems Engineering in 1998 and Ph.D. Electronics and Computer Engineering in 2008 from University of the Algarve (UAlg), Portugal. He is Adjunct Professor at Instituto Superior de Engenharia, also in the UAlg, where he lectures Computer Science and Computer Vision since 1994. He is member of associative laboratory LARSyS (ISR-Lisbon), CIAC (UAlg) and the Associations APRP, IAPR, SUPERA, and ARTECH. He participated in more than 15 financed scientific projects, 4 of them as PI. He is co-author more than 190 scientific publications, including several books. The revocation period is fourteen days from the day,

Consequences of revocation

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you all payments that we have received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of the additional costs resulting from the fact that you have chosen a different type of delivery than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), immediately and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notification of your revocation of this contract.
For this repayment, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this repayment.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.

Reasons for exclusion or extinction

for the delivery of newspapers, magazines or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts.
