A rare original full-colour Chinese Cultural Revolution poster from the early 1970s.Undated. Landscape format 75cm x 53cm. No 7 of 8 posters in this series designed for educational purposes. Depicts a small group of workers in the port of Shanghai. Designed for Shanghai Harbour Bureau by three artists: Shi Qiren, Feng Minglin and Guo Weixing. The slogan states: "We need to deeply criticize capitalism and greatly develop socialism." The poem by Zhu Yue Yuan states; " The harbour worker is ambitious to study theory and raise the flag. He talks every day about the class struggle and deeply criticizes capitalism. Develop lots of ideas and you can master the world. Repeatedly sing the revolution song as you build and repair the river banks." Condition: near fine with fold marks and just a handful of tiny tears and creases. Provenance: acquired around ten years ago from a private collector in Nanjing. Seller Inventory # 004140
