In Happiness First:14 Habits Draining Your Joy (and How to Reclaim It), motivation and personal development expert, Jackson Ogunyemi, delivers an inspiring new discussion of how to achieve happiness in a world of constant busyness. The author explains how to find a sustainable balance between achievement and fulfilment.
You’ll learn how to make your health and happiness your number one priority and learn to better serve your family and values. You’ll also discover how to show up empowered and excited about the people you care for and serve.
Inside the book:
Perfect for busy professionals who struggle to see past the day-to-day deluge of busyness, Happiness First is an insightful and exciting new take on building a balanced, fulfilling, and productive life.
‘I won’t spoil the plot of this book, but I will say this: Jackson has found a brilliantly original way of landing some timeless truths. Imagine a Dickens-style moral reckoning meets courtroom drama, built around fourteen everyday misdemeanours that, if we’re honest, we’re all guilty of. It’s clever. It’s uncomfortable when it hits close to home. And that’s precisely why it works.’
DR. ANDY COPE, speaker and coauthor of The Happiness Revolution
Imagine if Hollywood directed a personal development book.
In Happiness First, speaker and transformation coach Jackson Ogunyemi takes you on a cinematic journey through 14 habits slowly draining your joy. A brutally honest wake-up call about the everyday behaviours quietly destroying your happiness.
Behind fourteen metaphorical doors are habits most people accept as normal:
The terrifying truth? Most people already know these habits are destroying their lives. They just keep doing them anyway. Through powerful storytelling, sharp satire, neuroscience, and uncomfortable truth, Happiness First holds up a mirror to modern life and asks a question few people are brave enough to answer:
Are you actually living…or just surviving the system you built?
This book is an iron fist in a velvet glove ― compassionate, but uncompromising. It refuses to ignore the habits quietly stealing your life.
But once you see them, everything changes. You can replace them with a simple but radical hierarchy for living:
You first.
Family second.
Mission third.
When the order is right, everything shifts. Energy returns, you RECLAIM YOUR JOY, you FIND YOUR HAPPINESS. If you’re ready to break the habits draining your happiness and reclaim the life you were meant to live…
Grab your popcorn.
Fasten your seat belt.
This is personal development like you’ve never experienced before.
