Synopsis

This is Volume 2 of the complete works of Galen, titled "Hapanta. Opera omnia," meticulously edited by Carolus Gottlob Kühn. Published in 1821, this edition presents Galen's extensive writings in their original Greek, offering invaluable insights into ancient medical practices and theories. Galen, a prominent physician, surgeon, and philosopher in the Roman Empire, profoundly influenced the development of Western medicine. His comprehensive works cover anatomy, physiology, pathology, and therapeutics, making him a cornerstone of medical knowledge for centuries. This edition is an essential resource for scholars and historians interested in classical medicine and the intellectual heritage of the ancient world. The careful curation by Kühn ensures the accuracy and accessibility of Galen's important contributions.
