Hardcover, full black cloth with gilt lettering; title and full-color illustration By Frank Schoonover pasted onto front board, matching jacket art. Light wear to spine ends; small hole in cloth on spine by front hinge; bookplate of UW English professor & author William Merriam Gibson on front end sheet. Considerable edgewear to jacket, especially to ends of hinges; chips at head of jacket spine; one-inch tear on lower rear jacket; small internal tears on flap hinges; front and rear jacket rubbed. Scarce in the jacket. Text clean; [xiv], [443] pages, "over one hundred illustrations and decorations" by Rhead, both full and partial page. Seller Inventory # 998008
